George Carlin was a revolutionary stand up comedian. Many people remember him from Comedy Central or his stand up routines that match the skills of greats like Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby and Eddie Murphy.
George was also an accomplished actor in light hearted films such as Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, also starring Keanu Reeves and Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back.

George Carlin was THE greatest commentator on Life and Politics since Will Rogers. His material wasn't just funny, it was ironic.
A few of my favorites:
"Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity."
"One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor."
""I am" is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that "I do" is the longest sentence?"
"Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things."
"You can’t fight City Hall, but you can goddamn sure blow it up." |

| Did you suddenly see a rule that prohibits talking about George Carlin? |

| I think he still doesn't quite understand what "naming names" involves. |

Well, if George Carlin flooded his channel, then he could post about the flood and how to prevent it, but he wouldn't be able to say George flooded him.
Talking about George dying isn't a problem. The goal of 'no naming names' is to prevent useless bickering and finger pointing, and instead give direction so we can have more fruitful and informative posts. |

While the dead aren't around to defend themselves, how about we lay off him, eh?
You wouldn't like me saying things about one of your dead parents... |
