| IRCFX needs help. We need a staff that can help us make the network grow and in however you can. As of now, our main concern is users thats the major thing that we need. If you are willing to help and would want to help out, please pm me. |

Still no connection to your network since the last thread u made..
[13:19] * Connecting to irc.ircfx.com (6667)
[13:20] * Unable to connect to server (No Route to Host)
[13:20] * Connect retry #1 irc.ircfx.com (6667)
How can you expect users when they can't even connect. LOL. |

worked fine for me, but I left immediately as soon as i connected due to forcedjoin, my nick was hog if you were present when i was forced.
Liam having no route to the server doesnt mean the server isnt always down/offline just that your isp may have difficulties with their own lookup servers or routes. |

| Thats true, I agree with decay. Is a small network, they are going to join the channel anyways. But back to the topic, anyone interested? |

Sorry to thread hijack but I should of explained this more clearly...
my reason is users chose to connect to a network, they arnt forced or obliged to but if they connect they become your guest to the network, to make a guest welcome they should be presented with the facts and information be it /list, /motd, message or notice of which channels to join, it gives them the option to join then at their own free-will rather than be forced to join.
I do however agree that small production networks benefit from this and I dont completely hate it, heck i was even forced joined when i opered on a previous network, but id of gladly stayed if i was presented with a logon-news or some sort rather than forced to join a channel. |
