Ok first they come on start shit with people that KNOW own botnets.. not smart use your head out there idiots, NO ONE BOTHERS ANYONE FOR NO REASON, you must have done something, and i see all these pathetic threads in the IRC Abuse section how someone flooded us and this and that, if you cant deal with it, please stop running an IRCD its part of owning a network get used to it, the funnyest thing ive seen on here is that someone send logs to the scotland yard and fbi, LAWL, some of you are very pathetic, like the fbi has time to deal with lame proxy flooders, get a grip people, install a few bopms with multiple blacklists and youll be fine, and if your getting ddosed it must be for a reason, no one just goes hmm inny mini miny moe and chooses a random server to ddos, thats retarded, so plz stupid people grow up! and treat people how you want to be treated.

FYI: FBI won't do much until an excessive amount of financial damage is done. Last i checked, it was hovering around 2000$ minimum. Smile

I've also seen instances where when one user starts getting a beef with another, the first user will attack the network if only because the latter happens to reside on it.

While it may be wishful, but I still reckon DDoS should carry a death penalty - it'd dissapear overnight if that was the case Wink

You must be from singapore, not new zealand. Remember they beat the hell out of that poor kid with a wet bamboo cane until half the skin on his back was ripped off for something as trivial as grafiti or spitting on the sidewalk or something? Networks often get attacked because of ircds hostmasking not allowing one user to take his anger out on another...so they take the server they are on down instead.....its a shame that most users prefer hostmasking or i wouldnt use it at all on my network. Id do it efnet style and let everyone fend for themselves if it wasnt such a desired feature.

THere are plenty of OTHER newer networks running hybrid or stock bahamut (which do not supply hostmasking) also. Im willing to bet their problems with ddos attacking isnt so bd either...although i do remember years ago when the kids brought dal.net down to its knees for quite awhile...but theyve learned to deal with those issues today.....
