ExileNET is looking to expand more into the UK and EU. We need a high speed dedicated server in the UK or in Europe. If you can help us out, connect to irc.exilenet.org, join #exile and let us know. Serious longterm commitment needed.

I know this is none of my business here and excuse my ignorance but you already have a UK server, now while i see it's the only european server this could easily accomidate you with 1000's of users if compiled and setup todo so, I couldnt see how another hub or client server will benefit the network in the slightest.

Your current global users is 45 (at the time i checked) which averages about 4 users per server.

Please dont think this is a hostile attack as it was never intened to be.

The UK server I have it not HUB quality. I need a faster more stable server to link other European leafs to it. The EU hub will link to the main hub. The other leafs will link to the US hub if the EU hub somehow goes down. Does that help you understand my need?

i think mouselike is trying to say that one european server is enough given your current usercount - any more will just cause unnecessary netsplits. there is such a thing as enough servers - and you seem to have exceeded that Smile

ok, since no one else mentioned it. It's possible that this network would like some redundancy in EU. That said, it *IS* a good idea to ask for a another link. The first clue was "expand more into the UK and EU". This network asked for links .. not opinions. So please stop judging/advising other networks based on your own values/beliefs. It's part of why there are so many trolls here. IF you don't have an UK or EU server to offer this network .. please don't post because no matter what you wish to say, it'll be off topic..

Mouselike, no I don't see your comment as an attack .. just as troll fodder (which is the last thing this website needs more of) .. sorry dude Sad

it was not my intention to troll, but at the time of writing there were two users on the UK server - that does not require redundancy, unless your goal is one server per user. there are a lot of networks out there with too many servers, and the constant netsplits they experience is annoying. that's the only point i wanted to make.

as per the definition I linked the word redundancy implies, it's a "back up route" it does not matter how many or few users you have on that server. That UK server can also be a major server hub and need a back up as well. medevul has also said it's a poor quality UK link. So this new UK server could also be a replacement. The poster didn't explain why they wanted the UK server, but you jumped to your own conclusion about his needs without having all the information and his thread wasn't a request to have a conversation about it.

For the record, I wasn't saying you were the troll .. I'm simply saying that if you post something like this, you attract trolls.
