| irc.meganet.us is offering the use of its servers to anyone interested in starting a file sharing channel. If the channel becomes successful, there will be a global oline for him/her. |

| What do you consider successful? Attracting hundreds of Bots and Catchers? Getting attention from the FBI? |

| I dont want zombied windows machines as XDCC bots for one. I want real folks using their own connections for file sharing. And it doesnt take hundreds of bots to have a successful file sharing channel. And I think the FBI is spread out pretty thin worrying about whose going to blow what up for allah next. There are hundreds of irc networks that do use cracked windows machines for their channels and i dont see the FBI harrassing them. I dont agree with using cracked boxes to serve files, but i dont see a problem with file sharing. |

File Sharing is against the law. You dont own the stuff your sharing. The RIAA, CRIA, Federal Government would love to hear about this |

| And another thing, "File Sharing" isnt against the law, otherwise there would be no bittorrent, no limewire, no morpheus, no p2p clients of any kind and there would be plenty more people in jail then they have now. Last time I checked it was legal to share pictures, home movies, etc. Sharing copywritten material may be illegal....but not all file sharing is. |

File sharing is not against the law.
Distributing copyrighted files is against the law.
Let me assure you all that law enforcement, the RIAA, etc, DO go onto IRC networks and the result HAS BEEN fines and imprisonment for file trading - up to $250,000 and four years in several cases I know about personally. Hacking can get you a lot worse, especially if you are male and draft age. The world's armies are full of ex-IRC haxors who are now spying on each other for their government.
The reason our forum rules forbid posts that aid and assist in illegal activities is precisely because many of our young and/or immature in the brainpan admins, will jump up and scream, "Get your warez/kiddie porn/stolen cc #'s, l/p's here!" and then end up wearing striped or camo jumpsuits.
If you want to add yourself to the list, do it somewhere else. M'kay? Really. I like you. I don't want to see you messing up your lives. |

| You dont even know me....lol. And do you even know how many networks registered on this website are nothing but xdcc channels? Your scrawl bots index these channels so its public knowledge that there are a fair amount of people on this network that DO support warez channels....also...why do your scrawl bots change ident@* when using the same nick much like flood bots? Are you guys FBI informants or something? Also...why is every topic in the Warez section locked? lol. I also notice that there are quite a few posts on that section that say warez are ok.....atleast you lock all of the threads regardless without predjudice... |

So what? That doesn't mean your not the next to go to prison. Mary is right. "The Feds" *are* targeting IRC networks and owners that promote illegal activities *are* going to prison on a first come, first serve basis. So just because you are the newest idiot on the block doesn't mean everyone else will be investigated before you.
We don't need to know you because we could really care less. The Feds are who you need to worry about and yes there may be informants on this forum. I know that if I was one, I'd be watching this forum like a hawk .. so next time you are at the store, buy a box of clues! |

| And you are naive enough to think that there are members of "the american goverment" who dont download warez ever. Who do you think is in the best position to provide these regularly updated blacklists of RIAA and Goverment Agency hosts? DUH. |

That's like saying the police aren't watching you because nobody in police uniform is sitting outside your house in a fully marked police car. |
