Ok well im well aware of a
BOPM
DNSbl
Neostats
irc defender? What other packages that could help a network out? Or what do you have to protect agaisnt abuser?

Well when it comes to DDoS, the best defence is to not draw attention to your existence. Which the only way to do so is to not run a server at all. The second best to that is to have as big a connection as you can which wont ever stop DDoS.

As for other abuses, that all depends on the abuse type.

make sure you use session limiting to restrict the number of connections allowed per address (a value of three shouldn't hurt many normal users). as for stats, denora is a great choice.
