Hello, i am a little stuck on some stuff,

I have been looking into making a profile system on my website which will let users "REGISTER" there nicknames which will store it to services on my server

Can this be done and what services would i need to be able to integrate it?

thanks

Since you use Unreal I'd say you are limited only to Epona, which has live sql. I've never used Epona for this purpose, but I've heard it can be done.

Atheme can also link to unrealircd, but one would have to use atheme's XML-RPC as opposed to realtime SQL

i dont know any IRCd software that can do that... most of the time that stuff is custom made. sorry mate i cant really help you out on that part. but it must be reading from the same database or 2 databases that are cloned.

Nick registration is handled by Services on almost all networks. Very few have services built-in to the ircd. So generally speaking, the IRCd has nothing to do with it.

Since we are refering to Unreal IRCd + Services it's a fact that the IRCd is not involved in this specific case.

It would be good if a services package offered intergrated web registration within there services package. Maybe an idea for future services packages if any of them can be bothered to make it.
