Is it possible to allow replies in Network Announcements by people who are the topic creator, so admins can post updates to their announcements in topics they have already created?
It's getting somewhat annoying to see 3 or 4 announcement topics within as many days/weeks for the same network by the same user. |

Being the owner/inventor of something doesn't make you the best/most knowledgeable/best suited/all around know-it-all/most active of that specific something. Perfect example is IRC, Jarkko Oikarinen invented it .. but I doubt he knows absolutely everything about it. Other people have taken IRC in a different direction than intended. It's likely that there are hundreds if not thousands of people that use IRC more than Jarkko does too. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I used mIRC more than Khaled Mardam-Bey (author of mIRC) either.
PingBad has just been more involved in the forum whilst Jason likely had better/other things to do.
Anyway back to the topic. I think it's an awesome idea too, I was getting frustrated having to create a new thread for every update for my our network.
Also I thought replies were not allowed on the Net Announcements forum? I've found examples of the contrary. |

Where the post was moved perhaps? Or where a moderator or admin replied? |

All 4 of the ones you didn't comment on, I saw previously in other boards.
PingBad does a lot of stealth moving. |

I still am a moderator (mainly taking care of those porners in Meet and Greet). I don't always catch urls and such in posts where they shouldn't be so if you do spot any, let me or another one of the moderators/admins know. | Jobe wrote: | | PingBad does a lot of stealth moving. | For a vertically challenged midget such as myself, it's not that hard
[EDIT: More often than not, the replies to a topic in Network Announcements were there prior to them being moved. I've only hit reply once or twice in the network announcements forum itself if only to post that the topic had been moved (I usually post before moving)] |

it would be awesome if the network announcements forum was somehow tied in with the network listings, so that each network could only have one thread - each person who is a representative of their network could post replies to their network thread. this would stop repeat posts which say pointless things like "we have upgraded from unreal3.2.6 to 3.2.7" or "we have new forums". dunno how easy this would be to accomplish... tis just a thought |

| you know... i proposed the same thing some time ago (or I think I did...) to Jason and/or mary... I reckon it'd be a top idea to just tie the Network Announcements forum itself to /networks/ with the replies tied to the network's reviews section. |

I want to rip apart SIRC and implement about 1000 new ideas.
Jason, would ya win the lottery already so you can devote yourself to our whims and desires? |

| If I recall correctly, Jason made mention of coding his own forums a couple years back... Just wondering what the status is on that and if he's looking for a bit of assistance (I'm willing to lend a few hours here and there to help him out) |
