i have a linksys router is there anyway i can serve packets? if so tel me how to please. also what port is the best one to use?

Heya... on most routers you need to enable somthing called port forwarding to go though routers. Basically using the router you open any port above 1024 ( I only use 1050 and 1051 ) and then specify that any connection to the routers WAN address on these ports get directed to your specific internal IP address ( ie: 192.168.2.3 )

After you have this done using your favorte irc client you specify the ports you will be using manually in our case 1050 to 1051.
