Ummm,
I don't know if I got your question right, ... it's called mIRC or PnPlus?! I am sorry I am bad with that kinda stuff. If that's not what you where asking for please try to explain it. Thank you very much. |

They do have mIRC logging, which IS your chat history logs. I belive if you open C://Program Files/mIRC/logs/
Should be there, been so long since i've actually checked, but that might be the location so give it a try. |

| the script identifier $logdir will return the location of the logs stored by mIRC (typically {mIRC Install Dir}/Logs). Hope this helps |

Yes, I can find the logs under C://Program... but, when I open them I only see things like this:
06:00] 3•12•6• Press Alt+E, on your keyboard, for mIRC Setup.
[06:00] 3•12•6• Right click, in this window, for server related options.
[06:00] 3•12•6• Type /readme for useful information about the P&Plus Add-Ons.
But I don't see the actual chat.

Hm, I am sorry, but I don't really get that. Shall I type that somewhere? I tried to type {mIRC Install Dir}/Logs, in my Status window, but I would say : * You are not on a channel.
And after I went on a channel it still didn't work???? What am I doing wrong? |

Type this in status:
Then browse to the folder it says and your logs will be there IF you have logging turned on already. |

Okay, I have done that and that's actually not my problem. Because I know where to find the logs. I have found that already. But the thing is, I don't see no chat conversation there (like chat history) but only stuff like that first example I showed you (connecting, disconnected, ...)
and so on...but there is none of the conversations that I had before. I was wondering, if I should maybe change the settings or something, so it will safe the conversations and then I can view them when I click on the log???
When I click at mIRC options/ Logging it looks like that:
Automatically log: None
Reload logs: not activated
Timestamp logs: activated
Strip codes: not activated
Lock log files: activated
Trim log file to ... kb: not activated
Include network: activated
Make folder: not activated
Date filenames: activated
Except status: not activated
That's my settings for the Loggin. Should I change something there perhaps?
I really need to find out how I can view the chat conversations, it is very important. Thank you all for your help! |

| My logs open with Notepad by the way,...but that can't be an issue, right? I also tried to open it with Microsoft Word and it's the same stuff that opens up. |

But if I didn't log anything before, when it wasn't activated...there's no way to find that past chat history? The reason I ask, I am searching for an email adress that somebody gave me, and that was a while ago, when I didn't had the Logging activated.
Is there any way to get to that past chat conversations? |

What am I doing wrong? | My sincerest of apologies for the confusion, I used {mIRC Install Dir} in green to illustrate the fact that this is a filler for the path mIRC was installed into, what I should have mentioned was the identifier $mircdir. Again, my apologies. |
