I have a network irc.angelsirc.net and promoting and advertising is difficult. We are registered here but looking for further promotion.

Another Network.
Honestly, if your network doesnt provide anything unique, or such, why should people come to your network, instead of using the ones they are already on?

You need something to draw users to you.

posting on here for users will most likely get you very little users, most people who post here seem to be irc admins.

try and see if you can tie your irc network in with maybe a big forum or two.

eventually create a decent website where users can do stuff on the site.

after a while users/rooms will find you, may take months/years!

You know, this is a question every new admin asks, and I must admit even the admins like me and alot of others on this forum, that have been around for a long time are STILL asking themselves..

How do we get users, to come, stay, and chat?

I can get users easy, its getting them to stay more then a short period of time these days is where I have the problem..

It seems, people arent actually interested in IRC itself anymore, there just there. No one is loyal on IRC anymore, so you really can't expect much out of this.

He was automatically redirected to irc.angels.org which shows bad server config.

You need java users. Yes Java users. Create chat sites with interesting content and target user groups (ie. adults, teens, etc..) and they will come after you get them on search engines. I started my network (again) a few days ago and am not worried about getting users as they will come because I know how to bring them.

I can chat with my friends through mirc and have java for users to make the net fun and popular. what could be better?
