What makes your network different from any other unreal/anope network apart from your network uses a free domain name service??

Edit: Just joined there and left immediately, autojoin enabled network Mad

It was invented for Java applet users who don't know or refuse to learn anything about IRC.

Most Java applets support a method of joining channels in their own configuration.

Yes, but most Java applets also don't tell users that they can join other channels by "/join #foo". An IRC admin that I worked with at one time had linked to a primarily Javachat network and most of their duties were "/sajoin luser #channel".

But what about those who DONT want to be in the "main room"? They still get forced there against their will, which is typically abusive on any grounds.

Java applets can be limited to a specific ident and/or server. ie: dedicated java/cgi-irc server which then can be dealt with by the ircd via join on connect, special motds or even a client script to auto-join and/or PM users with their options. It's also possible to post instructions before the user even connects.

Also, for those users that refuse to learn at least a little about IRC, they can go back to IM's and stay there!
