Somenody else will ask for it anyway, but youre probably better off giving a lot more details about your experiance, skills and personality then you have.

So I have one question (well a few) that i can think of right now which is, What could you offer the network?, what benafit would my network have with you as an oper?, what ircd's and services have you used before? can you adapt to new ircd/services?

from what i see you have every thing to gain and my network would gain nothing ... so please explaine some more.

It's in my opinion that those who ask for it in a manner such as this don't really deserve it - they should be invited to be an oper due to their showing they are worthy of it to a given network.

Agreed, on my network, oper possitions are offered to those we feel are worthy of the possition. There are no applications, and no open possitions are announced, and asking to be an oper will go against any chance you had of getting a possition to begin with.

on my network, who gets o:lines is up to server admins... however, any user has a right to protest it.

o:line selection of course is up to the admin, there are no standards, but i'm pretty sure that nobody would "hire" someone looking for o:lines.

as jobe, pingbad, etc mention: usually it's best to give the most helpful users on the network an o:line, not just any guy looking to have one ;p

(if you want an o:line then start your own network. your chances of success in obtaining one is 100% that way.)

I agree but i wanted to know what he/she would give in return for an oline like i said before the network gains yet another oper which is no use to the network, so my question still stands, you have every thing to gain what about the network that gives you the oline what will they gain?

Indeed. I pick my opers by hand, last thing I'd ever do is to pick somebody to oper up in the place where I'm admin on request lol
