Shure .. You be sure to get me the ip address of quakenet, undernet, efnet, dalnet and other major irc networks that run client hubs. I guarantee that you will never .. ever find them ip's unless you have linked to them networks. Anyways, i'm not gonna getting in to a worthless pissing match about this cause it's not going to go any where. my2c. I'm done.

Client hubs have been ran on EFnet, Undernet and DALnet (I can't speak for Quakenet as I have never been an oper there). Since /LINKs has been disabled /modified on two of those networks, and flat-links is used on a good portion of the servers of another, you'd never know the difference.

As to the OP: Good luck in finding a new home.

thank you mentor, that is what I was getting at Smile It doesn't matter if you can resolve or not, a client hub is still a client hub, it's just as stable as any other hub/leaf. If you think client hubs are a security risk, then get off of IRC .. because EVERYTHING is a security risk!

Your using a VPS host, right? So that 100GB total aggregate bandwidth is probably shared by several servers. Just curious, who is your hosting provider?

Heya,

If you're interested in giving InspIRCd a go, we'd happily have ye as a link - we're a small network, looking to expand in users and links!

If you're interested, ye can either visit us at irc.riftirc.com or give us an email (network [at] riftirc.com).
