well simple my ircops are noobs and i need new ones who actually know how to ru na network dont expevt me to trust u at first not gonna happen lol and yea im pretty chill so its iight

| Well first of all I would like to say that this post is in the wrong topic. It should be posted in Help Wanted. Second I would also like to point out that hubs aren't supposed to allow clients. Anyways I'll stop by and check it out. Nickname is MrZodiac. |

I'd like to point out that you CAN have hubs that accept clients since there is more than 1 type of hub. Client hub, services hub and dedicated hub. "Hub" simply means it can have more than 1 other server connected to it. Perhaps you should learn about leafs and hubs before applying for a job as an "experienced" IRCop, since that's something you should learn in the first week you are an IRCop.
Secondly, I'd like to point out that if your IRCops are newbies, they will never learn anything if you replace them. Teach them (if you yourself are not a newbie). |

You can have a server compiled as a hub, but it's not nearly as stable. That's more of what I'm trying to come out with my post above. Obvousily I didn't write it out, they way I was thinking it in my head. |

That still isn't true. I can name 5 networks with more than 30,000 users that have perfectly stable client hubs.
Anyway, back to the topic. |

All the servers on my network are compiled as hubs. and I have no problems. SO could you enlighten us as to how selecting an option that allows incoming server connection as well as outgoing makes a server any less stable?
Thirdly, if a hub were less stable wouldnt that make it less useful as a hub? or shouldnt hubs be more stable since they can often be put under more of a load relaying traffice for many more users then a simple leaf server?
A leaf server with 1000 users for example, only has to relay messages to and from those 1000 users. A hub has to relay messages for ALL the users on any server connected to it.
Also, the definition of a hub is somthing that is the central point for somthing else. So that can also mean that a client server is a hub for clients. Have you ever thought about that? |
