Network with same name taken but inactive

Trying to list a new network but seems its already listed but inactive, any chance of getting the inactive unlisted " LostIRC "

depends.

Do you own the same domain name? If so, we just reactivate it.

If you own .com and the listed domain is .net, then you need to add it including the TLD

Quick question, if one were to pick up an old network, what happens to the previous info stored about the network in question?

For example, I have been wanting to make my own network with a few goodies for the benefit of the users (since they really are the ones that matter most), and a name I thought of was World-IRC but the name is currently indexed with SearchIRC (or at least was). If I were to create a network called World-IRC, and lease the domain, the last thing I want is to have any old (and very likely) irrelevent information about the network conflicting with my own style and setup... just a thought

you'd be able to edit the info listed for that network and change it as needed.

sorry for the delay, but as I notice the domain that was registered was .net which is inactive and awaiting to be deleted in the domain registery. But I do own lostirc.com and lostirc.org.

What we do in that circumstance is to rename the network that is listed on SearchIRC to include the tld, in this case lostirc will become lostirc.net, and you can register your network as lostirc.com or .org.
