I'm running ircservices ... it provides me with all I need for channel, nickname and memoing services, also provides my staff with network management tools other than the ones the IRCd already has and ircservices is modular.

It also has low load averages using only around 2% of my system RAM and less than ~1% of my CPU, based on 512MB / 1.5GHz - servicing close to 4,000 clients (avg. 3500).

I've found it to be extremely stable (with uptimes of 100+ days). I had used Anope for a while and found it to be unstable, crashing only after several days or a few weeks of uptime. The case may be different now, when I had used Anope it was in the late 1990s.

I also looked at Magick services for a period of time but found it also to be the same case as Anope, crashing frequently. If memory serves me correctly the developers of Magick also discontinued work on it.

As for an additional statistical package I've been running NeoStats which has a few nice features, but their "stable" release is a resource hog. Extended uptime of NeoStats will cause massive CPU spikes and memory usage, although it won't crash. Heh.

The new development version of NeoStats is a lot better when it comes to managing your system resources but it's still in alpha and has quite a few bugs and coredumps often.

I prefer Atheme if I had to make just one choice. It's very reliable and stable.

My network, the P2P-Fire IRC Network, uses the classic unreal and anope setup.

Also has NeoStats hiding in a logging channel.

I've had no stability problems with anope. Works like a charm.

For me personally it's srvx, although that's probably because I've been using it the most.

Although Anope works surprisingly well with 14,000 users..

I have used Auspice Services in the past for my IRCd Server i didnt like them.

Iknow Auspice i know they have more options to choose from there are script kiddies out there who can crash Auspice Services and they will stop working.

If you want the best IRCd Services i would go with Anope they are more stable and easier to use thats my view but there are more IRCd Services out there. What ever works for you go for it doesnt hurt to try other services intill you find the right that works best for you.

I never had a problem with Anope yet its been a while since i used Anope i am getting back on track how to work them again.I am not sure if Anope updated their services since then.

I know they have NickServ ChanServ BotServ HostServ OperServ and HelpServ Global i am not if they put any other moduels in the services with Anope i am not sure you can go to their website.

Anope forked from Epona, so if you want the next generation of Epona try Anope....
