Instead of pooling names from the top 10 networks or so, have a selection of networks you want SearchIRC to look in. If you know the person, you will tend to know where they personally go to.

| I don't see what money has to do with anything. Just have the bots look in the network you chose, rather than the top 10. |

If you know the server, why not sign on and do a whois?
The point of the whois bot page is to give you a quick overview of a specific name across the major networks. It's not feasible for us to run robots on every network. Nor would it work well for us to have robots connect to specific networks to do a whois - first off, connecting to networks can take some time. Secondly, if you know the network you want to whois on, you can just as easily go there yourself. |
