Hello felllow IRC'erz.
As some of you might know, I have been in the IRC world for a long time now. I've seen it go from "decent" to "who the hell cares about IRC". I was just talking to Pingbad on MSN about this issue. I came to my own personal conclusion that IRC is nothing anymore. Incase some of you have forgotten what IRC is, its Internet Chat Relay.. Here's the thing.. People don't care about the CHAT anymore. IRC is just a big [Censored] fest of nerds with a shiny red ddos button glued to their desk, or people bashing IRCd's and whining about other networks.. Well you know what? I don't belive in this crap. I've been running networks for years now, I've gone from network to network, and I've let them all fail, well im done with that. SubIRC is my last try at IRC, i'll never let it fall, and I'll never let it go offline even if the network is dead empty. So here's my call out to you guys..
Join a network where there is no real drama.
Join a network with friendly non-abusive administrators.
Join a network that will provide you with the support you need.
Join a network that actually still cares about the CHAT..
So make SubIRC the network you want to be on. Its not much right now because every kiddie on the internet has their own network now, but SubIRC is different. I guarantee it.
I run Unreal3.2* with Anope/NeoStats. (Yes I know "Old Kiddie Setup") I've been using Unreal/Anope/NEO since before 1/2 of you were probally using IRC, so im not changing it for anyone. Don't like it? Don't come whining about it. I don't want to hear it. If you run an small or large Unreal3.2* network and want somewhere that actually cares about the essentials of IRC, SubIRC is the place you want to be, drop by and check it out..

Website is under construction, and im looking for a good webmaster if anyones interested. Please, give SubIRC a chance. Its the last cry for IRC to be revived. |
