SpireNet is an offshoot of SorceryNet. This probably means it's destined to catch fire or explode in some manner. If you experience sudden death or irritation of the scalp or fingers -- discontinue use immediately.
Oh, right. Where was I?
Ah yes. SpireNet, is a new network, started by some ex-sorcerynet staff. We decided that we wanted to move in a different direction than Sorcery is moving.
We've got a whopping 27 users! ZOMGROFLWTFKORV!
You could be user number 28 or something! All you have to do is /server irc.spirenet.org
We run charybdis-2.1 release-engineering branch (presently charybdis-2.1.2(20070102-3121)).
We run Atheme IRC services as well.
If you connect, I heard somebody might give you a cookie. I don't know how true that is though, or whether or not the cookie will have LSD in it.
Other differences from other networks include an entirely open administrative process, where user input is encouraged. We might not act on your input if it's ludicrous, but hey -- we want it none the less.
