Wanna mount an IRCD but don't have a domain nor shell?, I can help you, I am willing people who wants to have a IRCD Network, I've got 4 servers, but only 30 users average per day. what is my offer?
I'll give you a SHELL 100% access to you with link to my network, you'll administrate it and have the control to add and remove IRCops from your IRCD.

Thats a pretty stupid idea to give someone complete control of your network like that. Someone you don't even know.
BTW, you don't mount IRCD's..... |

| Surely you don't just "give out" these ircds without having at least some kind of prior knowledge of that person through either having known them beforehand or multiple (and I'd stress multiple) interviews/talks/ect. That will turn into nothing more than a security nightmare and a headache. More than likely, people will get them just to use them for malicious reasons, which will get you, not them in trouble since that shell account was purchased by and in the name of you. I'm also not sure how many servers you currently have, but there isn't really need for more servers if you only average approximately 30 people per day, and already have 4 servers. Before anyone embarks on their first journey into starting and running an irc network, I'd suggest they look up and read some documents on the many different aspects it entails, and talk to some of the people on this board. Believe it or not, there's a wealth of knowledge about IRC right here, it's just sad most people don't take advantage of it. I wish you luck on your network. |
