Hi there,

I run Ultimate3.0.1 with anope. I know UltimateIRCd does not include any spam filtering features like Unreal, but are there any modules or add-ons that can be used to block certain phrases as spam?

I have a problematic user who logs in with proxies and spams his network address to users in PM. I'd like to block "/server" or "irc.*" if possible.

I found a response on UltimateIRCd's board below, but I was hoping there would be an alternative: http://www.shadow-realm.org/index.php?topic=2804.0;prev_next=prev

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

sharstine is asking for a spamfilter module for ultimate, DeathFox, not a proxy scanner...

In regards to sharstine's post: I can't find any known spamfilter modules for ultimate via google or on the SourceForge site, sorry about that Neutral

But, a proxy scanner would get that troublesome user if he uses proxies, as sharstine stated.

Just use Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor. Set up some good blacklists (like this one for TOR). It's a lot better than blocking "/server" and "irc." which will filter many legitimate conversations.
