Due to the increased traffic in the last few weeks, the current 2.4 ghz server is no longer optimal for SearchIRC. While it is performing well right now, it's going to need upgrading soon.
Why put it off for later when we can get a monster server now? :)
The new server has dual Xeon processors, and is already setup and ready to go...
We will be transfering DNS over to the new machine sometime today or tomorrow pending any issues.
I will post again as things develop.
PS: Searches on the new machine look like they are easily 2-3x faster than the current 2.4ghz server.

Just so everyone is aware -- if you are able to read this post, you are on the new SearchIRC server.
The old machine has a different post mentioning that they are still on the old server.
Please let me know if you have any problems with the new setup.

| Also -- because of the move, the network graphs are going to be a little unstable. It should all be worked out within the next day. |

| There was a machine reboot at 4:30pm est to make some misc changes, such as disabling hyper threading. |
