Here are a few remotes to keep those Oper/Admins from force joining you. Just make sure you change YOURNICK to your nickname and place these in your remotes.

on *:SNotice:*used*SAJOIN*to*make*YOURNICK*join*: { part $11 }
on *:Notice:*:*used*FJOIN *to*make*YOURNICK*join*: { part $11 }
on *:SNOTICE:*You were forced to part*: { if ( $me ison $7 ) { halt } | echo ALERT You were forced to part a channel.. but the script wont allow it! | join $7 }

what about the people that don't use mIRC??

IMO forced join nets should be dealt with a bit different. Like /quit and never return because it's abusive oper behaviour and shows that the opers have absolutely no respect for you nor your privacy.

lol good script. My network doesn't use forced join on users though so doesn't do anything for us.

Most networks these days support forced joins but not many use them so it's pretty pointless plus why not just type //part # lol by the time youve loaded that script might aswell just type the command. It's a good script though.

I like it... specially since I could use this to create some nifty stuff of my own... maybe to discourage some of my ircops to use the sajoin command? *global notice* IRCop $nick is abusing his oper powers... all other admins kill him now!!!

forced joins can be a good thing, it all depends on the context in what its taken, if you run a small chat and or private server than you may want to knows whos connecting.

Most ircds have the ability to show you who is dis/connecting. Let's think about this for a second. If forced joins were such a good thing .. don't you think the "big nets" would do it??

Forcing an innocent user to do ANYTHING is just plain stupid.

The use of forced joins is one of the biggest turn-offs I can think of with regards to an IRC network. I want to make my own mind up about which channels I want to join.
