- Patched the SQL injection vunerability in phpBB.
- Fixed a header issue with the MyChannel IFRAME login (nothing major, but the header file was missing, causing it to not use CSS styles. That in turn made the formatting a bit off).
- More work done on the Control Panel. You can now start testing it out. Let me know if you have problems with it:
http://searchirc.com/controlpanel/
Right now, it's a basic shell. The MyChannel section is functional though -- allowing you to browse all the MyChannels you own, plus the ability for you to delete them at will.
I will be investing more time into the control panel as time permits. The User Profile especially. Stay tuned. |

| Control Panel now has IRC Quotes section, which lets you add quotes, as well as view all the quotes you've added (and thus see what kind of scores others are giving your quotes) |

With the coming of the Control Panel, in the near future will be MyChannelPro accounts, as well as the User Profiles.
Part of these updates include the layout of the SearchIRC website.
Here are a few of the recent changes:
1) The big search box on the front page of SearchIRC has been replaced with a tabbed box, similar to alltheweb/google layout.
2) The "Networks" link that was on every page (top right in the gray bar) has been removed. It is now located on the main search box as a tab.
3) There is now a new Network Search, allowing you to enter a networks name (or even alternate names, or partial text for a network name) and get a list of possible network matches. This is a work in progress, as we will now need to start collecting "alternate" network names. e.g; Undernet=unet, Quakenet=Qnet. Keeping in mind that Qnet not only refers to Quakenet, but is also an actual network name, the results of a "Qnet" search will show both networks :)
There are plans to expand the search to also include servers, details to come.
4) There is a "IRC Users" tab in place. This tab is not useable at the current time, but will be made functional as soon as possible. When the user profiles are in place, you'll be able to search for users by channel, network, topics, geographical location, etc.
5) The networks page looked a bit ugly, with urls like network.php, network.php?ID=A, etc. It's now using directory formats, "/network", and "/network-size/1000". |

A few minor board changes.
- Table cells mouseover now (change color and are clickable)
- Min and max message sizes. Post must be > 15 characters and less than 10,000 characters.
- Yesterday's changes managed to break the 'contact us' page. The form now properly submits info again.
- Updated the forums, moving topics around, adding and deleting some forums, and moving topics placed in the wrong forums into correct categories. |

JFYI - I lost internet access at home for almost 3 days, so the network additions were not done last weekend as they normally would.
Hopefully I can get to them before the weekend, but we'll see.... |

Pberetta,
Just for you, I've managed to squeeze in the Networks link back to the main template, and pushed the Live Help and Sitemap down below. |

- New front page logos added. Finally no more WinXP icons :)
- Mouseovers on the 'freshness factor' output in search results now display actual time (in EST). e.g; a chan with freshness factor of 70% will display '12.03.03 7:00am'
- SearchIRC index robots now have static names, and version reply. See FAQ for details.
- Added Control Panel link on front page. |

Server time was off, so I set it ahead by 20 mins... all the graphs from 12pm till 12:20pm will be off during that time period because of this.
Nothing major, but wanted to mention it in case anyone is wondering. |

The 'top searches' results used to take a long time to calculate.
I've revamped it, and rather than measuring the time to calculate in minutes, it now takes about 2 seconds. Even better, the new layout allows you to quickly see if a given keyword has gotten more or less popular in the last 24 hours, rather than comparing today's column to yesterdays, and vice versa.
Oh, and now it displays the top 100 instead of top 30 keywords.

New network dup checker that will react proactively. Our preexisting system would deal with it after the fact, the new one will work before there are any data issues.
Also, doing some testing, during this time the robots will not be connecting. I expect the testing to take about an hour.
ALSO, Quakenet channel lists have been incomplete. Several changes have been made, and hopefully in a few hours we'll see if we get the complete Quakenet list. It would be helpful if we had some ilines on Quakenet though *hint hint* :) |

Doing some checkups lead me to a problem with the network graphs. It seems that some files didn't always have the proper permissions, causing the graphs to not function on some networks.
I've fixed this issue, and set it so that it can't break again.... but if you see a network that has a 2 month period with a flat graph, thats because it hasn't been updating during that time.
I am also testing out graphing not just the total users, but graphing total users then a black line to show the invisible users. We'll see how that goes in the days to come. |

The FAQ has been updated. If you haven't looked at it recently, you might want to check it out: http://searchirc.com/faq/
Also, it appears that the updated graphs seem to be functional. All the graphs I've checked appear to be updating properly, and I'm happy with the results. |
