Hey guys, i hope to get feedback on this. I am writing a script for a certain script(ill leave that undisclosed for now) It will have features for all ircop commands for all ircd's, grouped by the network's ircd and services. Its a very unique, powerful, and detailed script. I need feedback on what you users might be looking for in something like that. If something you say is a useful features, i will be sure to add it, thanks guys.
Daniel

The script has support for:
ircu
unreal
bahamut
quakeircd
ultimateircd
hybrid
ratbox

anope
atheme
x3
srvx
ircservices
.....................

Made for multi network use with seperate options on an ircd basis, which can either be auto detected or inputted by the user. Services version must always be inputted by the user due to lack of less annoying way to detect them, plus some protections.

I dont really get what u mean by channel limiter? Like a dynamic limiter?

And your not getting what type of script im writing...

Im writing a script to simplify the usage of irc commands, as some of them require long strings, which these scripts will make them easier to understand, and easier to input stuff. Example: Restart Services would be so far, to go to "Services Functions --> OperServ --> Administration --> Restart", a dialog then comes up asking for confirmation, if "yes" is selected it will then restart the services. I will also be writing my own documentation for the commands. So far all commands are implemented, if there is an easier way to do certain things, even on an auto setting, i will be willing to do that. The drone thing I might include, if demand wants it...This script is only 50% done.

I'm assuming that this is all menu (and dialog, as mentioned) driven. It might be useful to include a series of aliases which ultimately perform the same functions, for those opers that find it easier that way.

I don't think most ircops like complicated scripts. If you want it to be used, keep it simple and separate bits. Razz

Yep. I personally find I'm much quicker using aliases compared to menus.

CR == ConferenceRoom, a commercial IRCd which does not even include OperServ unless you pay for the Enterprise Edition, which is 5 grand :p
