i met someone off IRC once, spent 2 years with her, almost had a child together, looked after and parented each others kids (her ex was a loser deadbeat dad anyways) problem was IRC was our downfall, I loved scripting, and designing and creating thing,s had a few close friends i talked to, but spent mindless hours scripting endless lines of mirc or php or html on some project that popped into my head and ignored her. she on the other hand sat online all night and flirted with guys, and kept talking to them after repeated attempts to have her come to bed at a decent hour with me.
We broke up because of her online relationships and the lack of attention I was getting, and her addiction to flirt with these "just friends" over and over
She left for a guy in another state... then came back, I asked her back but it was downhill from there, it started up anew and just got worse. 6 months later when I found she had called yet another guy she flirted with in another state, we had a fight and split again, Again whenshe came back 3 days later I had the guts to say NO i do not want you back
since then she has been a thorn in my side asking for money, talking trash bout any woman i come in contact with, and even after she found another sucker... err man... she continues to 'think she knows whats best for me'
im not saying all irc relationships can be like this, but be careful who you drag off of IRC into real life, they may not be able to give it up so easily |

I had a very loving online relationship with someone that went into real life.
We got together, loved each other a lot, spent lots of time together.........
However three things killed it in the end:
1) we lived so far apart we could only see each other once per month
2) we had very different lives and lifestyles, so we grew apart eventually,
especially as our 'real lives' met and we found we weren't as compatible as we thought
3) we were both young. Sadly (I hate saying this, but it's TRUE) most relationships
between young people don't last.
I've learnt from this though and will not look for another relationship until I'm at least 24.

| Most things like this don't work out.. Unless people are willing to give years of patience. |
