Because it's not commonly used?
I can point you to another few hundred such projects, and I assure you they suck equally. Though, it is of course your decision what you use. |

They also break the RFC completely and allow color control characters in their vhosts..
I've known Tibs for a while.. his intentions are good just had to build an ircd around what his network needs |

I hope you don't have any users with clients other than mIRC then. There's loads of client software that will glitch or crash because the IRC daemon doesn't follow the RFC. |

QuakeIRCd does not use SourceForge anymore, iirc.
A person I used to work with a bit tried it once, it seemed like UnrealIRCd on crack to me anyway.
I guess I just want something that is simple and works, though. *shrug* |

Oh, then that might explain some things.
Still, if you're going to fork, it at least pays to stay up to date with development, and forking something that's sane to start off with helps. |

The mode +I in viagra pertains only to channels, and warnings are sent to operators when the mode I is invoked.
There is no method of spying on private messages in Viagra IRCd or on channels of which you are not a member of. The module referred to for Unreal will allow for the monitoring of private messages and channels your not a member of.
Keep in mind that +I is also intended for the use of services since there are many service clients such as those used for flood protection which you may not want visible.

Unethical as hell and still a violation of privacy.

That's nice, but you still have ethical violations of your own. Defending them and going "Unreal is worse!" only makes you look hypocritical. (Just some friendly advice.)

That's a great intention, really! It is! But it's still an ethics violation and you shouldn't be providing your users with those tools.
