| The best services combination, imho, would be ircu + CS, UW, NS. but for you kiddies that like the bloated Unreal IRCd, stick with anope/epona or ircservices. |

as nobody really seems to have mentioned it: ircservices.
In the end the choice is yours, but if you want something similar to anope, try it out. It has:
NickServ
ChanServ
MemoServ
StatServ
OperServ
Global
XML Import/Export
It doesnt have:
MySQL support
BotServ
This is just a rough list after all i didnt write it, i just use it. It is much more lightweight than anope and in my experience deals very well with larger quantities of users. In case youre interested ircservices (which is still actively mained) was the original non-proprietary irc services package. From this came epona, then from that came anope. So, much less cruft. It's also modular and was long before the rest |

| If you're interested in giving Auspice a try, I would suggest going with KickServices instead. Just do a search on SourceForge and do a quick search for KickServices and you're set. I personally like Anope, but that's what I've used the majority of my time on iRC and they're the most actively developed. KickServices cleans up the Auspice code, and addresses several issues. |

Hey!
You should use Atheme IRC Services because it's stable and reliable and have active Development team.
1.0 will be released very soon.
It has SQL support so you can enjoy the power of MySQL or PgSQL and you can have your users register their nicks and chans from the web via the xml-rpc.
It supports well tested IRCDs like bahamut and other IRCDs.
Check it out NOW! www . atheme . org
Good luck,

The best services combination, imo would be bahamut + SirvNet services Sirv 3.0.6 check http://www.sirv.net for more info and http://bahamut.dal.net to get bahamut.

I'm using Unreal 3.2, Denora 1.2, Anope 1.7, BOPM and IRCDefender 1.4 on my network and am very satisfied, feel no need to change.
In the past I used NeoStats but I think it's horrible. |

My network currently runs ircd-hybrid+plexus and anope (and neostats). Works great . Anope > * |

Each to their own, Anope, atheme and such are all nice varieties of services along with ircd's that it supports
But as my own opionion i would agree with ircu and it's services (e.g gnuworld) are by far a good choice and doesnt add to the clutter of *Serv based networks out there. |

| I personally use Anope on my network. I had already used Anope a lot, so I felt very comfortable with it. Most of my ops had also used Anope primarily before so for us it just made the easiest choice with the most knowledge of the ops. |

I use Anope at this time, and before this I used srvx (a.k.a. Undernet X) on IRCu.
I'd say srvx is my favorite service. If there was a srvx like service for Unreal I'd use that instead of Anope, but since there isn't and Anope has more (useful) functions then any other service for Unreal that I've seen, I'm sticking with it. |
