ThunderCity Wedding 23 September 2005

Oh yes indeed it is possible to meet and fall in love with someone on the internet.
I will give you a quick story on how I met my wife-to-be (we marry 23 September).
Last year, as an Operator/HelpDesk on the Thundercity network, I was responsible for monitoring several chat rooms, one of which was then known as #Mads.
LotusBlossom was a regular user and I was drawn to her personality and nature.
Neither of us at that time was looking for anything serious.
She just having divorced.
We chatted and I helped her solve a few little probs on her pc.
It soon became obvious to both of us that we had a connection.
But, there were other issues to contend with.
I lived in The Netherlands, she in UK.
She was troubled by the differance in our ages.
But, as I pointed out, age is but a number, it is what the heart and mind feel that is important.
Many phone calls and messenger/webcam chats later, a trip to Clogland was arranged.
We already knew so much about each other's lives by then.
She came on 19 July last year.
I met her train at Maastricht.
Both of us were a little nervous, meeting on a crowded station, but it was love at first site.
I asked her to be my wife just two days later.
We have not spent a day apart since.
She stayed in The Netherlands for a few months, then we decided to move back to UK and now live in Dover, Kent.
I have a nice job, we are looking forward to our Wedding in 9 days time. I have never been so happy and look forward to many more years spent together.
It has not been an easy year, as we encountered problems from many sides, but our relationship is too strong to be influenced by narrow minded people.
So I say, go with your heart if it feels right.
We could so easily have missed out on a chance of happiness had we been too cautious.
