Hi there,

I'm looking for services using a MySQL-backend ... Reason for that: I want to combine the irc-network to a website, offering registration on the site ...

using a PHP-IRC-Bot and sending the registration-commands directly in IRC is not very good ... error-parsing is not possible at all (yes, it would be ... but tell n00bs how to react to the error-msg?) ...

PTLink Services are really nice ... but don't work on other ircds, except on their own ... and this ircd is no choice when you're used to unreal ...

InspIRCd has a nice feature: sql_auth ... would be great, but there's still the problem of chan/nick REGISTRATION left ...

so, i'm looking for a ircd/services combination featuring:

- mysql-backend for saving nick/chan-registrations
- prefix aq (like unreal or other ircds, i'm used to it)
- module-support (eg for modules like antirandom) (would be nice)

thx in advance Wink

greetz from germany,

mexx

p.s.: when's anope2 with the mysql-only-backend in development? that would be the best i think ...

anope2 is a long while off yet.

You've got anope, atheme [although I'm not sure if we ever got mysql in when beu vanished], sirv3 [not released yet], ircservices [doesn't have mysql yet, but it's planned]

You might want to look at atheme's xmlrpc stuff, I believe Rob has a module for anope to accomplish something similar.
