Perfectnet IRC is looking for stable LINUX servers only. We do NOT accept windows servers.
We have our own services.
You will be given a 30 day test link period.
We currently only have 12 users. But grow everyday.
Please concact perfectnet@comcast.net for an application. |

| How would you know that a P10 comptabile IRCD is running on a windows server? Shouldn't a stable internet connection not be higher on your list ? |

A stable server is on linux. Sorry if it upsets any of you windows users. Linux is what the NetAdmins agreed on |

ignorance at its best. i dont think i want to chat on a network that completely disregards windows. if its stable, it doesnt matter what OS you are using. and here's a newsflash:
WINDOWS CAN BE VERY STABLE |

Oh-shap.org I don't see what your problem is. If you don't like what I post then don't read it.
Linux has been more stable than windows for me and everyone else that I know runs a server.
I am the NetAdmin of the server I run and if I want only linux servers then thats what it will be. |

Although I don't really want to get in the middle of this one, here are some facts:
http://uptimes.hostingwired.com/stats.php?op=all&os=Linux
http://uptimes.hostingwired.com/stats.php?op=all&os=Windows
Fact #1: If you compare the two above URL's, you will see generally - the longest uptimes are held by Linux users.
Linux Average Uptime (for all reporting Linux users): 14d 3h 1m
Windows Average Uptime (for all reporting Windows users): 3d 16h 29m
Fact #2: The average uptime is longer on Linux
Fact #3: A well taken care of Windows machine (including updating it weekly with Microsoft patches) cannot be stable. Most of the patches I have seen require you to restart. A long running Windows machine, is also possibly very insecure.
I won't comment on this thread again. |

| Perfectnet is no longer seeking links. We have established a stable link. |
