We now have 801 channels in the chat directory.
Actually there'd be another 150+ in there, but as you know, the chat directory lists channels that were submitted under specific guidelines (such as needing >2 users on avg, and appearing in /list), whenever a channel falls outside of those requirements, they are no longer listed in the chat directory. On the other hand, if they later meet the requirements, they will automatically be relisted. |

I now have a page that lets users enter their network/channel and it will give back javascript that you can paste anywhere into any website to get your irc channel stats:
http://searchirc.com/request_channel_stats.php
Let me know if there are any problems. |
put the resquest_channel_stats in spanish languaje |

As you may notice, we're running a test with amazon's affiliate program on the search result pages.
We're just testing, if they don't produce any revenue (the goal is to make SearchIRC self sufficient) they will be removed.
Yes - they are ugly. Please give me feedback - What are your feelings? |

There is a new logo up...
Columbus day is on the 12th, but the US gov't likes extended weekends, so it's new official day is the 'second monday of Oct', which is the 13th... thus the columbus day logo will be up during the 12th and 13th of oct.

The incorrect dates displayed on the IRC quotes, and the network forums for when an item was submitted to the system has been corrected.
Also, the amazon affiliate test was a complete failure, with over 25,000 impressions and not a single item bought... so I'm removing it from the site. |

As you can see from http://searchirc.com/servers/EFnet, the server list / motd list has been completely redesigned.
The cached list is now combined with the current list, allowing you to click on anything that has a motd stored.
All other motds that are cached but not part of the current /links, are displayed further down, along with the date that the motd was indexed.
This should help curb the confusion as to what that page represents -- I had a lot of people email me to inform me that the cached list displayed servers no longer part of the network :) That's the idea ;)
Also, if you mouse-over the server names, if the server had a 'realname' field, it will display.
JFYI, we now have 8,406 motds cached, totaling of 13.7 megs ... |
