Well if your are talking about mirc scripting, Launch your mirc client and type /help Everything you need to know is contained within the mirc help file thats included with every edition of mirc. Other than that you will have to be more specific as to what you are refering to as "IRC Scripting" |

Hmm.. I use mIRC, actually Invision to be exact. But when I opened up the mIRC editor.. It looked more like Java Script then what I saw in the help file..
What programming language is that? |

All I have ever heard it called was mirc scripting, once you have read the whole manual, and combine all the many aspects of the scripting language it will all start to look familiar. The whole point with mirc scripting is to allow the user to customize the look and feel of there copy of mirc, and also automate and simplify the use of IRC commands. |

i would highly suggestion http://www.mircscripts.org/archive/tutorials, specifically http://www.mircscripts.org/showdoc.php?type=tutorial&id=1.
the first link is a page full of tutorials and the latter is a tutorial by one of the best mIRC scripters out there.
if you have any questions, you can feel free to pm me, visit me on irc (irc.oh-snap.org) or send a message on AIM (michaelthemoon). i used to be pretty involved in mIRC scripting. i've not messed with it in months, so i'm definitely rusty, but i should be able to answer most basic questions.
