|
|
I have downloaded a program to chat through IRC on my Pocket PC. However, it only takes Server IPs composed of numbers. The server I want to join is stratics.frws.com. Is there anyway to translate this into a numeral based IP such as 206.206.85.210?
Thanks,

in mirc, /dns irc.blah.com

Without any software or going to a site, you can achieve dns resolution with a standard windows command...
Open the command prompt (Start>Run>cmd) and type "pathping irc.blah.com" (no quotation marks)
I can't test it right now because I'm at work and the command prompt is disabled, but I believe at some point it will show you the numeric address inside [] brackets. |

Grr, didn't know about the nslookup command.
I absolutely hate how Windows wants you to go into system folders just to figure out commands their lazy asses didnt feel like telling us about.
In fact, I just absolutely hate Windows. |
