SearchIRC has a policy about network names.
You MUST own your network's name in the form of a domain name. This is the most common cause of networks being rejected! Domain redirect services and subdomains are not acceptable as network names. You must own the DOMAIN, as recorded in the whois record.
It is this simple: If you do not own the domain name you do not have the authority to submit the network to SIRC, and we do not have the owner's permission to index the network.
Occasionally someone submits a network against the rules, and it slips through the cracks. We do our best, but its simply impossible for us to know every single domain reseller in the world. If you do manage to get a network listed and you do not own the domain, we have to delete your listing as soon as we are aware of the situation. |
