CollectiveIRC is a unique break from the normal IRC network. From our seasoned staff to our P10 based software, we provide an experience unlike most other networks. Uncommon and complete, well structured software allows users to manage their user accounts and channels unlike most other networks.
What we have:
* Truly knowledgeable staff (most have 10+ years admin experience)
* Unique and useful user/channel modes than most other nets lack such as chanmode +z (channel must be registered) ^
* coders on staff to fix bugs and add new features so we aren't waiting for people that dont care about our network to fix issues, unlike most other nets that must wait
* bi-weekly Town Hall style open forum meetings
* hundreds of commands for IRC super users to tweak their channels/accounts while still maintaining a sane default configuration for new users.
* User accounts for users that don't wish to "own" their nick +
* Optional nick registration for users that do wish to own their nick +
* MemoServ that works even on accounts without registered nicks (user account required)
* simple sop/aop/hop/vop style channel levels +
* complex numerical access levels +
* optional in-channel channel services bot $
* optional in-channel spam filter service
* optional in-channel trouble ticket based HelpServ for users that run help/support channels
* longevity rewards such as custom SWHOIS entries, vHosts, public or private forums for channels as well as a small website for your channel
* several java, cgi::irc and ajax type web based chat applets to use on your channel site that dump users directly into your channel.
* open set of rules so you are free to do anything within reason without worrying about breaking absurd or silly rules
* open channel, user and nick registration so no permission is needed to register unlike similar networks that require a list of supporters
* The list goes on and on ....
+ = This denotes that both the user account and nick registration systems are both enabled at the same time. Also the xOP and access levels are both enabled at the same time so you don't have to toggle between them and pick one, YOU CAN HAVE BOTH!
^ = Channel mode +z makes the modes, bans and topic persistent so they do not get cleared when the last user parts the channel effectively holding the channel open with 0 users.
$ = CServe is our ChanServ, but can optionally reside in channel or off channel with a quick toggle. CServe also comes with a complete set of public !cmds.
What we DON'T have:
* Power hungry staff
* Internal politics that cause friction amongst the senior staff
* splits
* rude helpers
* warez
* porn
* strict rules
* Unreal/Anope
