Does SearchIRC have a chat server

Does SearchIRC have thier own IRC server if so would someone please give me the addy i feel this is a place where i should be hanging................even tho i love the begeesus out of this forum

When I try to go to the SearchIRC server it tells me...

Closing Link: <username>[<host>] by irc.searchirc.org (USER: Bad username)

It also gives me these errors, I think from my invision script...

ERROR > 468: username is invalid
ERROR > 468: with your real username, in lowercase
ERROR > 468: your mail address were foo@bar.com, your username would be foo.

Any ideas?

what ever you have as your email address before the @ put that in "username" on mirc. (in lowercase)

many ircds deny usernames that use mixed case. You can have a username in the following:

Fubar@
FUBar@
FUBAR@

But you can't have these:
FuBAR@
fuBAR@
FUBaR@

You can get around that if you're running ident, but the moment your identd isn't working right, you'll get denied again. The best bet is to stick with lower case, or make sure your username doesn't go from caps to lowercase then back to caps again.
