I'm open to suggestions.

Right now it's set to not allow replies for anything that has sat for 31 days without any replies.

yeah its annoying when someone tries to rack up posts by opening old topics of maybe 1-2years old.

it's good to have a 1month time limit of threads

well i do see some old treads very intresting, specialy the suggestion ones or serious topics. now the bla bla ones yes u can shut them off its not a big deal.

what if one of us loses his connection, and comes back 1 month after, he missed the chance to post his idea in a precise tread?

there is the good and the bad in it.

All I have to say upon this topic is...

GET OVER IT.

When idiots write two words in a thread just to get their postcount up so they can spam this place with their network constantly -- There's been quite a few -- it gets very damn annoying.

Good work jason. I like it.

However;

If someone has say, over 100 post limit maybe - they can drag up topics that are upto 2mths old? if enough people whine and bitch and carry on, that should shut them up...anything more than that thoughs stupid.

lol

If someone loses network connection for a full month, they're going to have better things to do that bring back to life old threads.

The point is that if NO ONE bothers to post in a thread for a full month, no one cares.

You should be thanking me for not pruning the threads, and locking the old threads instead. This way you can at least read them.

<offtopic>You brought up an interesting thought... how about pruning the Network Announcements and Help Wanted forums of topics for networks that no longer exist?</offtopic>

Well done with the latest forum mod, Jason

I'm for pruning the Network Announcement forums and Help Wanted posts that over X months old - but I'm sure as hell not going to volunteer to search for ones that are dead, and only prune those out :p

There is really no way to tell if a thread is actually dead. If its had no posts for X months then its more then likly dead but nobody can know.
