hey,
I was wondering, how good peoples on this board with getting sources of those annoying bots/drones.
as for me, I'm kinda unexperienced with this matter, hexedit & reading the .exe file in a texteditor are my only tools to get some information , but that's not enough.
Anyone here who's got more experience and willing to learn me or the ones interessted ?

I usually grab my laptop or a PC nearby and run ethereal (packet sniffer) and fport (port watcher) program, see which IRC server it connects to and idle in their channel using an irc client for a while, can figure out the commands that way
Or rework it as to connect to a test server of my own and play around with the commands |
