| I WANT TO BE ABLE TO REPLY TO NETWORK ANNOUNCMENTS AGAIN! It sucks that you guys took that out! Flaming was the best part, and SearchIRC was more active when people could actually discuss the networks... bring it back!! lol |

He asks to allow comments on people's networks in the Network Announcements forum, and you tell him to shut up, Ed?
I for one would like to be able to reply to a Network Announcement, either saying "It's a great network" or "Watch out, this net seems to have at least PT'n (Power Tripping) oper" after visiting those nets. |

| Think back to the reason WHY it was disabled. Because almost nobody ever DID that, and those who did (katsklaw, talrias, myself, etc) got flamed for it, and everyone else just resorted to bashing one another for this that or the other. |

you can still post reviews and comments about a network on the network comment sections. the network announcement section in the forum were simply a place for network admins to get flamed out of existance.
We had several requests to disable replying on that area, and eventually it became apparent that we had no choice. |

Hey, if there network was bad enough to get flamed out of existance, it shouldnt have existed in the first place! Also, it sure helped keep the IRC population lower less kiddies, less ddos.. haha |

| Why not have two network announcement sections, people can make their post in one section that does not allow replys, and one that does. That way, if a person just wants to make an announcement, they can, but if they want to make an announcement and are looking for feedback, they can. And if their thread turns into a flamewar or gets hijacked, just tell them tough luck because they could have posted in the no reply section. |

| I think the point was to post announcements about your network so people could join and check it out, and give either praise or constructive criticism about the network. All flaming does is create yet another fight on the forum, and all the parties end up mad. Noone does this they just flame/bash or something of that sort. I personally think it was a good idea to diable this. |

| I agree with satan on this one, while there were loads of constructive comments about networks in Network Announcements, those were few in comparison to how many people posted flames and negative comments. |
