Portuguese people banned from searchirc.com?

hello! I think search irc just banned all people using Netcabo, the largest ISP in Portugal!

this is what shows up in your site (and nothing can be used to enter the site)

*** Sorry, but you have been banned for flooding this server.

what happened? I never flooded anything, and I would like to access your great site...
can you do something about this? because everyone using netcabo is banned! 213.22.xxx.xxx are one of the ranges used...

There is nothing on this site that would ban an entire netblock.

This site runs a proactive banning system similar to an IRC server. If you keep hitting pages rapidly, it will send you a throttle warning, if you keep conecting and ignore the throttle message you get banned. Given that the throttle message prevents a page from loading, and tells the user not to keep hitting the site - wait a few seconds, I've only seen it ban robots and flooders.

At any rate, some specific IPs may be banned, but there are no netblocks, and all ips banned are banned automatically by the server.

After further investigation it seems that there is a bug in our banning system. As a result a number of people have been banned.

All those that complained to me in the last 2 days your ban should be removed as soon as Jason can fix the bug.

If you are banned from the website...email me at johnb@searchirc.com with your IP address and your ISP incase I cant resolve your IP.
