just a random guess of mine, but i think it has its reason...
also, i dont think that its the purpose of this board to give aid in ban evasion.... so .....

on the other hand, you could just search for the networks website and find an email where you can ask to remove the ban (be sure to be as detailed as possible... ip, hostmask, reason, time...)

he could have akilled himself, but in any case ... most Services packages have auto-expiring akills .. many default to 7 days.

anope's default is either 28 or 30 from memory...poor him Wink
then again if it has been specified as +0d, or +365d...he could have an even bigger problem....best bet is to email the network...and if you akilled yourself...refer to the link in the "I've klined myself" thread....you'd have to add an e line in your ircd config (or whatever the except equiv is for your ircd)

akills(auto kills) are services based so an eline wouldnt help...
maybe try killing services or use an cgiirc...
or... read the irc rfc then ssh to your shell and type telnet <my server ip> 6667 and oper and identify and remove it Razz

IIRC he said on another post (about klined himself) he was using Unreal3.2
most services with Unreal use gline as the ban, which is excepted using an e:line, so it *should* work

Even then, what's to stop services from taking matters into their own hands? Razz (IOW, autokill the old-fasioned, pre-GLINE/remote KLINE way - sending a KILL for each and every person that is to get one Razz .)

that is true.....extreeemely scary to think about in practice now....shouldn't be too hard to flood services off by connecting enough akilled clients Razz
