|

Hi,
I know it's possible to add statistics about a network to a web page, but I would like to know if it's possible to add statistics about an individual channel.
Ideally I'd like to add things like current, average and max number of users, current topic, etc to my website.
Is there any way to do this?
Many thanks in advance,

Hello -- right now the only functionality for channel stats is:
1) Right on the search results
2) Using the 'non branded' search results
3) On the MyChannel pages.
So, if you can make use of a MyChannel, that would be the easiest thing to use.
If not, the closest thing I can recommend at this time is doing an advanced search (http://searchirc.com/advanced.php) and specifying an exact channel match for your channel on your network (that will result in a search that only matches your channel and no others).
e.g; For #SearchIRC on the SearchIRC network:
http://searchirc.com/search.php?F=exact&I=searchirc&T=chan&N=SearchIRC
Changing the search.php to searchirc.php will give you a search page that looks like this:
http://searchirc.com/searchirc.php?F=exact&I=searchirc&T=chan&N=SearchIRC
It's non-branded, so there's no logos, sidebars, etc on it. You can use that within an IFRAME on your site if you wish....
In the future, It's likely that channel stats will be made available in a similar fashion to the network stats, but to answer your question: It's not currently available in the same exact format. |
