1) MyChannels no longer have a little SearchIRC logo on the top left anymore. In fact, there is no longer any link to the main site.
Example: http://mychan.searchirc.com/darkbot/darkbot/
2) Users have been posting on the messageboard, and emailing me asking when their MyChannels would be ready for them to use, after signing up. While messing around with the code, I found that the normal message that appears on the "Thank you for requesting a mychannel" page was missing. This was due to the mychannel signup page moving to a new directory (under searchirc.com/mychan instead of mychan.searchirc.com). This has been fixed. I also have some better automation in the process, which will result in better registration times from now on. |

You will now see on the network addition page, as well as the network update pages, guidelines for submitting information.
Previously the forms were basic, and the details were left up to the submitter to fill in, without any guidelines or clue as to what SearchIRC was looking for.
With the guidelines, submitting information should be a lot easier as exactly what we're looking for is spelled out for you, the do's and the don'ts.
Revised network addition page: http://searchirc.com/add-network.php
Sample 'Submit information about ____' page: http://searchirc.com/network-info/QuakeNet
Also, the chat directory form has been updated: http://searchirc.com/dir-add-channel.php It now has guidelines for writing the channel description, as well as a counter that lets you know how many characters you have left to enter your desc. |

The java client layout has been completely redone. I also upgraded the applet, and enabled many new features. e.g; you can now click on URLs.
The java applet now also makes use of the SearchIRC database, allowing users to pick from any of the currently known servers for the network they are trying to connect to. Simply pick a new server from a drop down menu, and click on Submit.
The new nickname field is stored into a cookie. Once set, from that point on it should use that nick, until you change it to something else. |

| Due to problems with writing the stats to disk, I've completely redone the design of the external javascript links. Changed are the _top5.js and _stats.js files for network stats and top5 channel listings. While the output should remain the same as before, due to the changes something may have been broken. I've found no problems, but if anyone has problems, please let me know. |
