Hey
We have a BNC service on our network. Now, we are wondering if its possible to vhost the particular BNC IP automatically.
e.g. IP 1.1.1.1 gets vhost BNC.Service
Automatically once its connected to the network in a /whois. Anyone know is this is possible? The vhost block wont work because you need a login and password and we just want it to be applied automatically.
Thanks

| Unless I'm misunderstanding you: you could just set the rnds of 1.1.1.1 to BNC.Service.com or whatever. |

if i am to understand it you want vhost.bnc.service set when the bnc connects?
If you use unrealircd you might want to take at the unrealircd vhostblock and then create a little script/addon to make your bnc make use of the /vhost command.
You could also make a dummy account in your services, join the nicks to a group and set the hostserv host for that group and set it to set on identify.
or just make use of hidden hostmasking in the ircd (+x) as itso nly opers who will see the real hostmask and a set/defined vhost wont cover the real ip from opers either.
hope this helps. |
