Hi i try to connect to irc.xxxxxxx.net and all i get is
* Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out) all the time everyone else can connect fine..?
Please help me. |

Looks like (to me, anyway) that it may be a routing issue with your provider, or with their uplink (possibly further upstream between you and your intended destination).
Have you done a tracert to the irc network's roundrobin address and diagnosed it from there? |

| I'm w/ slingshot, but at the end of the day we both use the same backbone link (in the waikato, if i remember rightly)... anywho, i'm on the network now (and rather bewildered, to say the least). I'd personally ring Xtra and have them check their routing, or their uplink providers - see if there's any reported faults at the moment (you pay them for connectivity, so you should at least expect the ability to connect to something that's there) |

after conferring with staff at the network concerned, it's become a network-specific issue with your connection, Sara|. As such, network specific issues lie with the network and/or your ISP to resolve, and not here.
