| Most IRC networks check to see if you are on a proxy server. However, this should not prevent the java client from launching and attempting to connect. Rather, you will see a message from the server telling you it is checking for a proxy connection, and having found it has blocked you from connecting to the network. Also, if you are on a known proxy you may be banned. Servers put massive banlists in place to prevent connections from illegal proxies running off of compromised systems. If thats the case you will get a message saying you are K lined, banned, or not allowed to join the network. |

Yes about java connection PJIRC is fine and is full free, the real is that we have a little of less develop in java themes in the opensouce world, but can be important with the new characteristicics of mime types and the new pososiblities of XML pages and services.
The applets of Sur are so good too JPilot is very quick, and don't have a license expensive...
mregit darling, Im agree with u again, The detection of proxys is important, but a lot of people use proxys today, In my Home I have near 4 computers sharing the same IP adress, different operating systems, need use proxy socks too..
The important is that don't to be open, missconfigurated, with anonymous access, but a lot of netwoks don't use correctly this proxy scanners and kill with services ...
We need inform more about their use, some of them are more bussy in NASA traking, that setup their own proxy scanners publics ...
I love u all
