I know in the past when networks merged it was handled automatically by SearchIRC to stop scanning one network and simply continuing to scan the entire new network.
I don't know how this worked, or if it took some user-assistance from Jason and his team of likely mods, but I've noticed this is one of the things not working recently.
In this case, the networks UCCN and LoveOfTheology linked a week ago, and in the midst of sporadic crawling by SearchIRC, I've noticed both networks being crawled, even after watching the UCCN crawl connect to the LoveOfTheology server.
Is this another automatic task that has broken, or is it another moderator-assisted task that isn't being moderated as well as these have in the past? |
