Hi all

Mysticirc is a new IRC network with curently 2 server (alpha.mysticirc.net and atlas.mysticirc.net)

We're currently not looking for any server apps except if it can bring alot of user [like 15-20-25]

Here is our rules:
a. Connecting more than 2 clients without permission.
b. Connecting via an open proxy.
c. Using our services as a medium for illegal activity.
d. Harassing network users and staff.
e. Bypassing channel/network bans by means of changing your
setname/ident/hostname.
f. Pretending to be a network staff. (Impersonation)
g. Advertising of other IRC networks or inappropriate sites.

We are curently a English network but we accept other ones !

For a link write to support@mysticirc.net or pm me
For users : connect to irc.mysticirc.net !

Great network, With nice rules, I may go connect thru a proxy now seeing as you didn't put "no" in front of your rules, .. lol.. only having a laugh. Cool

Just a question, you have the rule "no more then 2 connections" but you dont say no friendly bots, so, if someone is connected as a user and runs a friendly bot from the same IP, if they disconnect as a user, but the IRCd doesnt notice (thus leaving a ghost), how can they, without breaking the rules, reconnect to get rid of their ghost user? (this question is why most nets go with the number 3 not 2)

Yes, but unless you explicitly state that your 3rd connection slot is solely for the purpose of cleaning up your irc ghosts, then the same scenario is raised when you have yourself, a trivia bot, and a channel maintenance eggy (say).

Frankly, there should be an exemption stated that the limit may be temporarily broken (let's say a 60 second allowance for cap + 2) in the name of re-establishing a connection dropout

I find that allowing 5 globally and no more than 3 on any given server works well.
